Job summary

FTS Inc, in collaboration with a cutting-edge client, seeks a Director of Analytics to lead analytics and data science, shape the platform vision, and oversee a team of four Data Scientists in a fully remote role across the United States.

This builder-minded leadership role partners with Product and stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled, web-based solutions, expand from Employee Benefits to Property & Casualty and Retirement, and drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in Employee Benefits financial analytics, underwriting, actuarial analysis or related analytics.
• Experience leading and developing data scientists or analytics teams.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into prioritized analytics tools and platforms.
• Strong technical fluency to engage with Product and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vision and evolution of the analytics platform with Product.
• Engage regional leaders and stakeholders to surface pain points and translate into tools.
• Modernize Excel-based models into scalable AI-enabled web solutions.
• Oversee full lifecycle of analytics solutions from discovery to iteration.
• Serve as enterprise SME on benefits financial methodology (underwriting, IBNR, budgeting).
• Extend platform reach to other lines of business like P&C and Retirement.
• Advise regional teams on complex client financial questions.
• Evaluate and champion practical uses of AI and Generative AI to modernize analytics.
• Lead and develop a four-person Data Science team.
• Define and execute the enterprise data and analytics strategy.
• Partner with Product, actuarial, brokerage, IT, and leadership to connect investments to outcomes.
