Job summary

Cambrex seeks an ambitious Director of Account Management to grow our Drug Substance CDMO business. You will manage 5–7 key accounts, drive revenue, and expand partnerships across procurement, technical, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires 10+ years in business development within pharma or CDMO settings, with a strong emphasis on relationship building, negotiation, and strategic solutions. This position offers remote flexibility with travel to client sites and trade shows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related life-science degree is required.
• 10+ years of business development experience selling CDMO services, with API/fine chemicals exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual revenue growth targets with focused accounts (5–7) and pursue new opportunities.
• Lead development, technology transfer, and commercial manufacturing initiatives for drug substance manufacturing.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder visibility within the defined territory.
• Identify customer needs and offer value-driven solutions across procurement, technical, chemical, and pharma teams.
• Coordinate internal-Cambrex to external-customer liaison to drive projects and opportunities.
