Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of EHS Operations to lead safety programs across manufacturing facilities and operations. You will shape strategy, ensure compliance, and foster a proactive, behavior-based safety culture.

Reporting to the VP of Environmental, Health and Safety, you will drive risk assessment, governance of EHS systems, and training delivery, while traveling about 50% domestically to sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years EHS experience with 5+ years in management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead across sites and drive culture change.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an enterprise EHS strategy aligned with business goals.
• Drive zero-incident culture through employee engagement across sites.
• Lead risk assessment and implement Process Safety Management practices.
• Develop and govern EHS management systems with data analytics.
• Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Mentor EHS professionals and leadership; travel 50% domestically.
