Job summary

Ubiik Inc. is seeking a senior Director of Business Development to lead the U.S. defense-focused drone-communications business. The role requires hands-on technical selling, building DoD relationships, and driving design-ins with OEMs and system integrators for uC2 and uVTX products.

The position reports to the CEO and offers a high-visibility, leadership-focused path with travel, remote work options within the U.S., and NDAA-compliant, mission-critical solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in business development, technical sales, or program capture within drone/UAS, RF, datalink, aerospace, or defense tech.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Telecom/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related — or equivalent.
• Proven success closing opportunities with drone/UAS OEMs and US defense customers (technical evaluations, design-ins, program capture, purchase orders).
• Hands-on technical selling: SDR/RF, link budgets, frequency hopping, EW, and UAV protocols (CRSF, MAVLink, ArduPilot, PX4).
• Strong US market relationships with DoD/DoW, primes, integrators to be activated quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end US defense BD and program capture for drone/naval programs.
• Build and sustain DoD/DIU relationships to gain early insight into programs.
• Position uC2/uVTX with OEMs and system integrators for program adoption.
• Lead technical capture: align capabilities with requirements and eval criteria.
• Secure reference designs and teaming with defense integrators for multi-bid wins.
