Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Director of Construction Services Business Development for the Commercial Lines segment. This remote role will oversee Territory Managers and Underwriters who manage sales and underwriting across a national territory, focusing on profitable growth and broker partnerships.

You will lead pricing strategy, portfolio analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while traveling as needed to meet customers and brokers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ten years of commercial line underwriting, sales, marketing and agency management experience.
• Knowledge of construction insurance, leadership experience and broker relationships preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Construction Services Territory Managers and Field Underwriters.
• Build and maintain relationships with agencies/brokers to grow sales.
• Oversee pricing standards and underwriting strategy.
• Plan territory sales and account management to drive profitability and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align operations with strategy.
