Motorola Solutions seeks a Director of Computer Vision to lead the technical vision and execution for a scalable CV platform. You will drive research, architecture, and engineering across geographically distributed teams, shaping the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle and performance metrics.

The role emphasizes executive leadership, strategic roadmapping, and deep domain knowledge in public safety or security software, with a focus on delivering enterprise-grade vision solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical leadership experience leading computer vision teams.
• Hands-on 5+ years building and optimizing computer vision models.
• Experience defining architectural vision for AI infrastructure and models.
• Proven ability to define roadmaps and technical metrics to drive excellence.
• Ability to manage a distributed organization of 50–100 people.
• Start-up mentality with ownership and bias for action.
• Domain knowledge in public safety or security software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term research agenda for fundamental computer vision capabilities.
• Lead the technical architecture, strategy, and roadmap for the Computer Vision Platform.
• Manage and scale a unified computer vision research and engineering organization across geographies.
• Own end-to-end MLOps for central AI models and infrastructure.
• Define and track metrics like latency, throughput, and model efficiency.
• Evaluate cutting-edge CV research and lead build-versus-buy decisions.
