Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to act as a nationwide expert in Commercial Property & Casualty and agency operations. You will partner with divisional and regional leaders to advance objectives, standardize workflows, plan capacity, and drive scalable improvements across the brokerage.

This leadership role requires an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation (or equivalent), and 5–7+ years of commercial lines leadership in a large brokerage.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions and operational integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Commercial Lines strategy with divisional and regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Drive process optimization to boost productivity and client outcomes.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Plan workforce capacity and staffing to support growth.
• Align Managed Services and resources with organizational goals.
• Provide national Commercial P&C expertise on operations and systems.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and alignment.
• Collaborate with producers and operations to drive results.
• Optimize EPIC usage and related technology platforms.
