Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, drive standardization, and optimize workflows across the brokerage. This leadership role partners with regional leaders to align strategy, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional client service while supporting M&A integration and business growth.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC or equivalent, and 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership within a large agency.

Qualifications

Active Property & Casualty License required.
CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute Commercial Lines operations initiatives.
Improve efficiency, quality, and client outcomes.
Promote standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Analyze staffing models, workload distribution, and service demands to develop capacity plans.
Coordinate with Managed Services teams to align resources with goals.
Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and EPIC usage.
Support M&A integration planning and standardization of workflows.
Collaborate with producers and leadership to drive engagement and results.
Monitor performance metrics and use BI to identify improvements.
Lead organizational change management and professional development.
Uphold IOA values in all interactions.
