Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national P&C operations. The role prioritizes workflow standardization, operational excellence, and strategic advisory to producers and leaders.

The position requires a P&C license and 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership at a large brokerage. Remote work is offered with occasional on-site needs in alignment with branch requirements. IOA emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to strengthen Commercial Lines operations, service delivery, and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable, efficient solutions.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing and service demands to develop capacity plans for growth.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and technology platforms.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and alignment.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive change.
