Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines with 5–7+ years of leadership in a large brokerage. The role focuses on standardizing workflows, optimizing processes, and guiding agency operations across the national footprint.

Fully remote with Central Time Zone hours is preferred, though onsite as needed may occur per policy. Active P&C license and designation are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen Commercial Lines operations, service delivery, and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable improvements.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
• Evaluate issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing models and workload distribution to support growth.
• Ensure resources alignment with organizational goals in Managed Services.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers and leaders to drive adoption of initiatives.
• Promote EPIC usage and optimize technology platforms.
• Use metrics and BI to track performance and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead change management during new processes adoption.
• Maintain ongoing professional development in industry and leadership.
