Job summary
GAF in the United States is seeking a Director of Automation and Control Systems to oversee the Automation & Controls team, partnering with engineering to drive continuous innovation and manufacturing optimization across facilities. You will influence capital planning and align initiatives with GAF's manufacturing goals while providing strong operational support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team.
- Proven relationship building and development of strong partnerships.
- Working knowledge of CAD, HMI, PLCs, G-Suite and diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead all functions of Automation and Controls group.
- Contribute to 3- and 5-year capital plans.
- Collaborate with IT, Process Services, R&D and others for integration.
- Oversee financials: capital projects, budgeting and reporting.
- Manage software implementation with operations systems team.
- Guide engineering practices and control systems documentation.
- Provide leadership and foster a collaborative, customer service philosophy.
