Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of Automation and Control Systems to guide the Automation & Controls team, partner with engineering, and drive continuous innovation for manufacturing optimization. You will influence capital planning and ensure alignment with strategic initiatives while supporting production facilities.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage budgets and software implementations, and promote safety, education, and strong partnerships across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading Automation & Controls projects across multiple locations.
• Proven leadership experience, direct or indirect.
• Strong relationship-building and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all functions of Automation and Controls group.
• Contribute to 3- and 5-year capital plans for facilities.
• Collaborate with IT, Process Services, and R&D to integrate teams.
• Own budgeting, financial reporting, and software identifications.
• Lead engineering practices and mitigate obsolescence in controls.
• Foster a safe, educated, customer-focused team culture.
