Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Direct Sales Agent Specialist in Norfolk, VA to drive growth through new business and cross-sell to local customers. You will build a local pipeline, engage in community relationships, and conduct outbound prospecting to convert opportunities into sales.

You will work with leadership to support sales initiatives, stay updated on products and underwriting guidelines, and ensure compliance and a high customer experience.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
