Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design and delivery, mentor engineers, and coordinate across time zones.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns, while driving Agile practices, code-quality, and secure development. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Min 6 years of technology software development with delivery leadership.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot; microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework (Angular or React).
• Cloud platform experience; enterprise app deployment and support.
• CI/CD, containers, testing, code analysis, and quality gates.
• Agile/Scrum delivery; cross‑functional stakeholder collaboration.
• Leadership of distributed teams; mentorship and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, debugging, and technical proofs-of-concept.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery including backlog, sprint planning, and releases.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers with code reviews, feedback, and career development discussions.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and clients.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and delivery metrics; escalate impediments.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
