Job summary

ZEISS is seeking an experienced Diagnostics Engineer to provide advanced diagnostics support for lithography optics at customer sites. You will analyze machine and sensor data, derive root causes, and propose technical solutions for the latest generation of products, working closely with global ZEISS teams.

The role emphasizes remote troubleshooting with occasional on-site visits and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline (Master's/Ph.D. preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience analyzing technical measurements and data from complex equipment.
• Experience in Applications Engineering, Field Service or Systems Engineering in semiconductor/high-tech.
• Knowledge of optics, optical metrology, or precision measurement systems desirable.
• Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, scripting, visualization, and automation.
• Familiarity with control systems, mechatronics, optical metrology, or semiconductor inspection systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced diagnostics support for lithography optics at customer sites.
• Analyze, visualize, and interpret machine and sensor data; derive root causes.
• Focus on the latest generation of lithography products and related diagnostic concepts.
• Test, implement, improve and develop new service and diagnostics scenarios with ZEISS teams.
• Act as the local contact for diagnostics topics for ASML and end customers.
• Document findings, create clear reports, and share best practices across the ZEISS community.
• Remotely troubleshoot from back office, with on-site presence and occasional international travel.
