This position is located in the Cleveland, OH area and may travel to parts of OH, KY and WV. The role could require travel up to three nights a week, covering the Central Midwest area.
Field Support Engineer II – with limited supervision you install, repair, upgrade and perform preventive maintenance on Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a designated service territory. You represent Carl Zeiss Meditec at customer sites and work to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction while managing company‑issued property and maintaining professional communication with team, customers, management, sales and technical support.
Extensive overnight travel by automobile and air required. Must be able to travel within the U.S. and internationally for training, meetings, exhibit support and coverage outside the assigned territory.
The position requires an average of four (4) hours of driving per day for service calls. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are mandatory.
Occasionally must lift up to 50 pounds; thirty percent of the workday is spent standing or walking.
Pay offered may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, and the complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent. The position may also be eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.
