Job summary

ASML US in Wilton, CT is seeking a Design Engineer to develop optical/photonic sensor systems used in lithography tools. You will design, build and integrate optical sensors, including light sources, detectors, fiber optics, and signal processing software, collaborating with the broader lithography team.

The role requires a BS in a technical field with 2+ years of hands-on optical alignment experience, proficiency in MATLAB and Python, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field with 2+ years of solid experience; MS preferred.
• Experience with data processing/analysis/software tools (e.g. MATLAB).
• Hands-on experience with optical system alignment (e.g. imaging, testing, alignment, detector system).
• Strong English communication skills – both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Develop optical alignment sensors for lithography machines using physics, optics, software knowledge.
• Lead complex tests, gather data, and communicate results across technical and managerial levels.
• Develop/debug data signal processing algorithms and implement in MATLAB/Python.
• Lead engineers across software, electronics, and equipment engineering to deliver features for alignment sensors.
