Job summary

Synergy is actively seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to lead infrastructure modernization across US Coast Guard programs. This role focuses on building robust CI/CD pipelines, secure software factories, and cloud adoption while aligning with CMMI-Dev Level 3 and ISO standards.

You will mentor teams on Kubernetes, Docker, and automated testing, and collaborate with federal stakeholders to reduce cycle times and improve compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years in DevOps or cloud engineering.
• Experience with Linux or Windows server environments.
• Experience with scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python).
• Familiarity with AWS and container tech.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and security-first practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern CI/CD pipelines and Software Factories.
• Architect scalable, secure deployment pipelines for multiple teams.
• Embed security into the SDLC with SAST/DAST and checks.
• Standardize deployment across programs with compliance alignment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor teams on cloud-native tech.
• Engage with federal stakeholders to explain DevOps value.
