Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) seeks an Edifecs DevSecOps Engineer to join a remote team supporting Veterans Affairs (VA). The role focuses on migrating to cloud, designing scalable AWS infrastructure, and implementing CI/CD automation while ensuring compliance with VA and federal policies.

Required are 8+ years in cloud engineering with Edifecs experience, strong AWS expertise, and knowledge of HIPAA compliance. This is a full-time remote position with a U.S.-based employer.

Qualifications

• A proven track record designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure and services.
• Experience with large-scale, highly available cloud architectures within AWS.
• Extensive knowledge of HIPAA and other compliance in cloud data environments.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead migration to cloud and design cloud-native architectures.
• Create data flow, cloud, and transition diagrams for infrastructure and applications.
• Develop, deploy, and operate CI/CD automation for cloud products.
• Manage permissions and security controls in cloud accounts and services.
• Implement monitoring to ensure performance and VA/federal policy compliance.
• Provide cloud support for VA Enterprise Cloud environments and VIP development.
