Job summary

Origami Risk is seeking a DevOps Manager, Infrastructure who will lead a team responsible for building, running, and continuously improving our AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational systems used by engineering teams and clients.

You will coach engineers, drive automation and AI-enabled operations, and ensure reliability, security, and cost discipline while partnering with Engineering, Security and Product leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
• Proven track record of leading and developing technical teams with hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Deep hands-on proficiency with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS).
• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms (Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Experience driving AI tool adoption within DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop DevOps engineers to a high-performance level with automation at the core.
• Set clear goals, provide feedback, and ensure growth paths for engineers.
• Identify capability gaps and create targeted hiring and upskilling plans.
• Foster automation as the default and integrate AI tooling into daily workflows.
• Participate in technical interviews and help calibrate infrastructure engineering standards.
• Own AWS infrastructure reliability, IaC practices, cost optimization, and security controls.
• Drive cloud cost efficiency through right-sizing, autoscaling, and cost controls.
• Manage core AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Lead the adoption of IaC with Terraform/AWS CDK and codify manual changes as exceptions.
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline delivery via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, and coordinate with release workflows.
• Ensure observability, monitoring, and incident response with strong incident leadership.
