Origami Risk is seeking a DevOps Manager, Infrastructure to lead a high-performance team responsible for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational systems used by engineering and clients. The role emphasizes automation, AI-enabled work, and secure, scalable deployments across AWS.

You will manage a team, drive IaC practices with Terraform/AWS CDK, and partner across Engineering, Security, and Product to deliver reliable, efficient cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering experience, with 2+ years in a management role.
• Proven track record leading technical teams, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront.
• Proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for IaC; review and guide IaC quality.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting; automation coaching.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines: Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with container tech: Docker, ECS, EKS; container deployment automation.
• Experience with observability tools: Datadog, CloudWatch, SumoLogic.
• Experience driving AI tool adoption in DevOps/infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop DevOps engineers; foster automation and AI-enabled operations.
• Set goals, conduct 1:1s, and manage performance; career growth planning.
• Oversee AWS infrastructure health, IaC quality, and cost optimization.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline delivery, release automation, and deployment reliability.
• Mentor on-call practices, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with Security, Product, and Engineering for scalable infra.
• Promote AI adoption in infra tooling and runbooks.
• Develop capability plans and hiring strategies to stay ahead of demand.
