Job summary

Origami Risk seeks a Release Automation Engineer to own the CI/CD pipeline stack, build reliable automation, and continuously improve release workflows. The role leverages AI to generate pipeline code, analyze failures, and accelerate self-healing infrastructure.

Starting base pay ranges from $100,000 to $122,000 with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits. The position emphasizes automation, security gates, and scalable deployment across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• Professional experience in CI/CD, release engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps Pipelines & GitHub Actions, incl. multi-stage configs.
• Strong software fundamentals; able to write automation scripts in Python/PowerShell/Bash.
• Experience automating artifact promotion workflows with gates and rollback.
• Familiarity with container build/deployment automation and image scanning.
• IaC experience with Terraform or AWS CDK for provisioning.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate pipeline engineering.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and owns CI/CD pipeline infrastructure across the org.
• Develops reusable templates and libraries for standardized CI/CD patterns.
• Automates build, test, and packaging stages with auditable provenance.
• Maintains pipeline speed and reliability; reduces failures and bottlenecks.
• Implements release gates, promotion logic, and automated rollback.
• Integrates LaunchDarkly feature flag operations into release automation.
• Automates environment provisioning and configuration with Terraform/AWS CDK.
• Instruments observability and tracks key delivery metrics (DORA).
• Drives continuous improvement and best practices in release engineering.
