Job summary

The Salvation Army Northwest Division in Seattle, WA, seeks a Manager of Special Projects to lead project management for government relations, volunteer program infrastructure, advisory organization relations, and fundraising campaigns. You will coordinate with staff, donors, volunteers, and external partners to grow financial and human capacity in the NW Division.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires at least three years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience, plus a minimum of three years of office experience with a proven track record of improving relationships.
• Three years of project management experience with ability to design/produce materials, track data, and analyze results.
• Experience with fundraising, relationship building, and community relations principles.
• Experience with government and volunteer relations, advisory board activities, and social services is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage government relations activities at local, state, and federal levels to increase funding across the division.
• Support volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement programs with donors and partners.
• Provide best practices to advisory organizations and serve as liaison to the King County Advisory Board.
• Support field in fundraising campaigns, track gifts, pledges, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Marketing/Communications on campaign materials and events.
