Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ work-related experience or a combination of training, education, and experience. Comprehensive experience in nonprofit fundraising, including prospect research, donor relations, and solicitation is preferred.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; ability to access payroll, timekeeping, and personal data via a web-based system.
• Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a fundraising plan to meet budgeted goals for current and expanded operations.
• Participates in administrative planning and evaluation of fundraising.
• Develops and implements events that increase fundraising and local awareness to reach established goals.
• Manages media relations strategy with local media, including preparation and distribution of media releases and speaking opportunities.
• Manages efforts to raise funds digitally and via social media, and creates promotional materials.
