The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) seeks a Development Manager for the Southeast Region. This remote Florida-based role supports revenue generation, volunteer leadership, and program services under the Division Vice President, Southeast Region.

Key duties include leading Walk to End Lupus Now events, coordinating sponsorships, managing volunteers, and expanding community partnerships across designated markets while aligning with LFA’s mission and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience implementing special events, sponsorship sales and volunteer engagement.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with a wide variety of people.
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with donor databases and fundraising software.

Responsibilities

• Manage Walk to End Lupus Now events, achieve revenue goals and post-event follow-up.
• Recruit, manage and support volunteer committees to reach targets.
• Maintain accurate donor and event records in fundraising databases.
• Develop relationships with regional volunteers, sponsors and participants to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate Lupus & You education programs in designated areas with national alignment.
• Travel as needed to support regional campaigns and events.
