Job summary

The American Diabetes Association seeks an experienced Development Director to lead a peer-to-peer fundraising portfolio and drive revenue for Tour de Cure and related events in the Desert Southwest.

This role manages teams, corporate partners, and volunteers, with a focus on donor relations, campaign strategy, and achieving significant revenue targets. Local presence near Phoenix, AZ is required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in peer-to-peer fundraising and events.
• Excellent public speaking and group presentation skills.
• Proven ability to recruit and mobilize donors and volunteers.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet revenue targets.
• Experience with corporate partnerships.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee peer-to-peer event portfolio, driving revenue and engagement.
• Develop and manage teams, individual fundraisers, and volunteers.
• Build partnerships with corporate sponsors and leaders.
• Monitor campaigns, analyze data, and report KPIs and budgets.
• Lead event leadership and volunteer committees to success.
