Job summary

bp is seeking a Manager of Design and Development to lead design and development for new store construction, remodels, and capital projects. You will guide planning, scheduling, and construction documentation, ensuring on-time delivery within budget while upholding bp standards.

This role manages prototype designs, equipment specs, and fuel system concepts, mentoring global teams and coordinating with Construction/Real Estate. Up to 50% travel; fully remote in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or comparable field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in commercial design and development.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience leading global teams and coordinating with real estate and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall project management for site development and timely completion.
• Collaborate with Real Estate managers to prioritize real estate pipeline projects.
• Develop and maintain brand prototype standards across civil, structural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing, and petroleum systems.
• Manage third-party consultants and cost control.
• Lead design and development committees and mentor team members.
