Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer to lead DER impact studies and support planning for the electric utility distribution grid. Candidates will work on hosting capacity, voltage regulation, and protections while using WindMil, CYME, and Synergi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Typically requires 6 years of experience in electric utility distribution planning with DER integration.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (WindMil, CYME, Synergi).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support DER impact studies including hosting capacity, voltage regulation, thermal loading, protection coordination, and power quality.
• Perform steady-state and dynamic simulations; develop distribution system models and run scenario analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory filings.
