Job summary

HERA is seeking a Deputy Director of Program Operations to lead and align its global programs from a remote US base. You will report to the Chief Program Officer, manage two direct reports, and ensure coherence across geographies while building scalable operational systems and strong governance.

The role requires 10+ years in program management, fluency in English, travel 3–6 times per year, and a commitment to equity and climate resilience in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in program management in multi-partner or multi-country contexts.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience building operational systems and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute program strategy in partnership with the CPO and align with mission.
• Maintain oversight of the full program portfolio across geographies.
• Translate program learning into operational decisions and prioritization.
• Develop and manage program budgets and KPIs.
• Represent HERA at conferences and external meetings.
