Hanson Professional Services Inc. seeks a Deputy CAD Administrator to oversee CAD standards, support users, and improve design workflows. This role reports to the CAD Administrator and helps maintain efficient, scalable CAD processes across the firm.

Position can be located in any office, with hybrid or fully remote options, supporting clients and project teams with CAD tools, training, and deployments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5 to 10 years of CAD experience in a professional environment.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX and/or ProjectWise; other BIM tools are a plus.
• Strong CAD standards, plotting, and file management knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Document CAD procedures and workflows.
• Support QA reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support including plotting issues.
• Assist onboarding by setting up CAD profiles, permissions, and tools.
• Help develop and deliver CAD training materials.
• Assist with software installs, updates, and license coordination.
• Manage file structures with project requirements, IT, and PMs.
• Support client Workspace deployment and troubleshooting as needed.
• Evaluate new CAD tools, plugins, and workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering/design/project teams to resolve CAD challenges.
• Assist in managing client CAD resources.
• Coordinate data exchange between CAD platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and automation.
• Gather feedback and implement process enhancements for scalability.
