Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a Deputy CAD Administrator to support the CAD and design technology environment across offices. The role reports to the CAD Administrator and helps maintain standards, assist project teams, and ensure efficient design practices.

The position can be located in any of our offices, hybrid or fully remote, with responsibilities spanning standards, user training, system administration, and cross-discipline collaboration to enable scalable CAD processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, engineering tech, drafting, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of professional CAD experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX and ProjectWise.
• Strong CAD standards, plotting, and file management.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support and troubleshooting.
• Assist with software installations, upgrades, and license coordination.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve CAD-related challenges and improve workflows.
• Support client Workspace deployment and data exchange between CAD platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and automation.
