Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a Deputy CAD Administrator to support CAD standards, training, and system administration across projects. The role can be located in any office, with hybrid or remote options, enabling flexible work arrangements while maintaining design integrity and consistency.

You will collaborate with engineering and design teams, troubleshoot issues, manage CAD tools, and help implement scalable processes to improve efficiency and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 to 10 years of experience using CAD platforms in a professional environment.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX and/or ProjectWise (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit or another BIM tool a plus).
• Strong CAD standards, plotting, and file management knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Document CAD procedures and workflows.
• Support quality control reviews for standards compliance.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with onboarding and CAD profile setup for new employees.
• Help develop CAD training materials and sessions.
• Assist with software installations, updates, and license coordination.
• Coordinate file management, project setup, and directory structures with IT and PMs.
• Support client Workspace deployment, troubleshooting and enhancements as needed.
• Evaluate new CAD tools and workflows to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams to resolve CAD challenges.
• Assist in managing client CAD resources.
• Support cross-discipline data exchange between CAD platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and automation.
• Gather user feedback and implement process improvements.
