Job summary

The supervisor will coordinate with the Manager, Professional Billing to drive results. The position emphasizes denial management, revenue enhancement opportunities, and collaboration across departments to improve collections and processes.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of payer guidelines, reimbursement, follow-up and collections practices.
• Experience with denials management is preferred.
• Experience in coding, billing, compliance and reimbursement is required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a key management member, understanding the business, financials, industry, customers, and strategy.
• Supervises Billing Collection Representatives and coordinates with the Revenue Recovery Supervisor for denials management.
• Ensures proactive payer communication regarding delayed, denied, and underpaid claims to promote timely reimbursement.
• Collaborates with Billing Collection and Revenue Cycle Management to identify revenue enhancement and educational opportunities.
• Provides monthly departmental reports on quality, productivity, denial management and performance to Revenue Cycle leaders.
• Handles recruitment, hiring and training; conducts performance appraisals for new staff.
• Maintains a collaborative environment focused on teamwork, communication and achieving department goals.
