Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time remote Delaware Licensed Acute Care Coder with ICD-10-PCS inpatient coding experience to accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes, abstract data for reimbursement, and support billing and statistical reporting across patient records.

The role requires reviewing records to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes, performing coding and abstraction to support billing and data quality, and ensuring timely coding to meet departmental goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-PCS inpatient procedure coding and CPT guidelines.
• College diploma in Medical Coding or 1 year of coding experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology preferred.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pathophysiology.
• Familiarity with Official Inpatient and Outpatient Coding Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret patient records to assign ICD-10 CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT codes.
• Perform coding and abstracting tasks to support billing and data quality, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.
• Utilize coding systems for communication and ensure timely coding and billing of accounts to meet departmental goals.
