Qualifications

Possess a terminal degree or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or in a closely related discipline from an accredited program/college/university.
Possess a terminal degree or master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or in a closely related discipline from an accredited program/college/university.
Possess the highest degree in the teaching discipline/field with a certification or license and a minimum of two years’ experience in the teaching discipline/field
Possess experience teaching at the college/university level (preferred)
Possess the highest degree in the teaching discipline/field with credentialing requirements or related justification as applicable for graduate courses

Responsibilities

Teaches undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the qualified discipline.
Records and posts a welcome video and transcripts.
Communicate with students to encourage engagement and course completion.
Conducts weekly outreach to students struggling in the course.
Participates in the classroom a minimum of four separate days during the week.
Responds to student email inquiries within 48 hours via the university email account.
Facilitates discussion boards.
Reviews student submissions and provides timely feedback via Blackboard.
Hosts a minimum of two live lectures within specified times for units II and VI.
Serves as course content expert to assist with curriculum maintenance and reviews.
Resolves academic integrity concerns, grade inflation, and grade challenges in a timely manner.
Participates in faculty development opportunities and mandatory trainings.
Other responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Academic Program Director and lead faculty.
May have the opportunity to serve as a Course Writer for an additional stipend.
