Job summary

Columbia Southern University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty member for the College of Business and Technology. This off-campus remote position requires checking classes and supporting students in the evening and on weekends.

The role includes teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, serving as a subject matter expert, and engaging with students through the Blackboard LMS. Candidates should have terminal or master's level credentials and prior college teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in the teaching discipline or in a closely related discipline from an accredited program/college/university.
• Possess a terminal degree or master's degree in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or in a closely related discipline from an accredited program/college/university
• Possess the highest degree in the teaching discipline/field with a certification or license
• Possess experience teaching at the college/university level (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teaches undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the qualified discipline.
• Communicates with students to encourage engagement and course completion.
• Conducts weekly outreach to students struggling in the course.
• Participates in the classroom a minimum of four separate days during the week.
• Reviews student submissions and provides feedback using the rubric.
• Hosts live lectures in evenings or weekends.
