Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Software Developer Principal to design, develop, and modernize the client’s software in a highly Agile environment. You will collaborate with federal civilian agencies and drive backend services, data pipelines, and APIs in a modern cloud stack.

You will work on a remote, 100% distributed team with strict emphasis on security, performance, and scalability, while aligning with Sprint ceremonies and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience with systems that make API calls and data integration.
• Familiar with Databricks jobs/notebooks and integrations for data ingestion and analytics.
• Ability to lead and troubleshoot in a 100% remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to maintain and modernize cloud applications with scalable, secure backend services.
• Build and maintain Databricks jobs/notebooks and integrations for data pipelines.
• Work on a fast-paced Angular/Java/Spring Boot development effort in a Cloud DevOps setup.
• Design, implement, and maintain backend components and APIs that integrate data from multiple sources.
• Implement and run performance tests to identify bottlenecks in databases and Databricks jobs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
