Job summary

Signature Performance in the United States seeks a Database Administrator III to support critical production and non-production databases across the enterprise. You will provide guidance on database solutions and collaborate with operations and auditors to ensure robust data management.

The role requires T-SQL performance tuning, configuration, monitoring, backups, and SDLC support. This is a remote, nationwide position with a strong benefits package and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field; five years of database administration preferred.
• Alternate: seven years of DBA experience without a degree.
• Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL required.

Responsibilities

• T-SQL performance tuning to resolve production issues using native SQL Server and third-party tools.
• Install, monitor, upgrade, and administer database management systems.
• Ensure service level agreements are met for clients.
• Off-hour production support and 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Document database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Communicate with technical and business teams and auditors.
• Backups, point-in-time restores, and maintenance plans for mission-critical apps.
• Support SDLC components and provide cross-training to junior DBAs.
• Follow security best practices and establish strategic operational goals.
