Job summary

Cuesta Partners is seeking a Data Technical Lead to guide our data practice remotely with occasional US travel for critical sessions. You will mentor engineers and drive end-to-end data environments using modern technologies to deliver actionable analytics.

You will lead architectural discussions, set AI-augmented development standards, collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, and ensure data models are reusable, pipelines scalable, and visualizations impactful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10 years experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on AI-assisted development tools experience preferred.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL, and integration.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Strong leadership and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership in data engineering and architecture.
• Lead architectural discussions and design trade-offs.
• Define AI-augmented development practices and coach the team.
• Oversee client-facing and internal data projects with timelines and quality.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Stakeholders.
• Define tech strategy with Team Lead.
• Design scalable client data architectures.
• Foster knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Identify process improvements to drive efficiency.
