Provoke Solutions is seeking a Data Architect and Technical Lead to own data platform strategy across client engagements. You will lead architecture decisions, set engineering standards, and stay hands-on through delivery, splitting time between technical work and guiding engineers.

This role thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment, requiring strong communication to business stakeholders and a consultative mindset. Hybrid in Dallas with 25–50% travel, US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering or architecture experience in a consulting/professional services environment.
• Proactively using GenAI and Agents at every SDLC step to improve quality and speed.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric at enterprise production scale (minimum 1 year with Fabric).
• Proven ability to architect and deliver across multiple data platforms and advise on fit.
• Strong PySpark and SQL skills with experience designing complex transformations at scale.
• Experience designing medallion (bronze/silver/gold) architectures and Delta Lake patterns.
• Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences.
• Experience migrating from legacy data environments to modern cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead data platform architecture and solution design for client engagements.
• Stay hands-on through delivery (~50% individual contribution).
• Define and enforce data engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Drive platform selection decisions and advise clients on fit.
• Lead client engagements, discovery sessions, and contribute to proposals.
• Provide technical oversight to data engineering teams through reviews and hands-on support.
• Guide teams to meet scope, timeline, and quality goals.
• Guide clients in adopting GenAI and Agentic AI in projects.
