Job summary

Socure is hiring a Data Scientist II for its Data Science, Client Analysis team, working remotely across the USA. You will analyze large-scale customer data and build models to support risk management and fraud prevention.

You will explain model performance, create data stories, and collaborate with GTM teams to identify opportunities for product optimization. Experience in identity verification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of data science or analytics experience
• Strong understanding of supervised/unsupervised ML methods
• Proficient Python coding and handling large datasets
• SQL querying experience
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/Databricks/GCP)
• Ability to communicate insights via data storytelling
• Experience explaining ML/AI to non-technical audiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication, remote-startup readiness

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale customer data to generate insights
• Explain model performance and how to improve risk management
• Advocate for Socure solutions and customer risk challenges
• Create data stories to show how Socure reduces identity fraud and improves user experience
• Provide thought leadership for core models and products
• Build tools and automated workflows to speed analysis
• Collaborate with GTM teams to identify upsell opportunities and optimizations
• Develop ML models when appropriate compared to production models
