Job summary

Socure is seeking a Data Scientist (DS-II) to join the Data Science, Client Analysis team and work remotely from the USA. The role focuses on analyzing massive customer data, building models, and telling compelling data stories that drive revenue while helping customers understand the value of Socure’s products in the pre- and post-sales cycle.

You will collaborate with GTM teams, deliver actionable insights, and contribute to the next generation of risk models.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience (advanced degree preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, or analytics engineering.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of supervised and unsupervised ML methods.
• Proficiency with Python and 2+ years handling large real-world datasets.
• Experience querying relational databases with SQL.
• Experience with cloud tools (AWS, Azure, Databricks, or GCP).
• Ability to tell compelling data stories (dashboards, interactive presentations).
• Able to explain complex ML/AI concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze massive customer data sets, derive actionable insights, and explain model performance and business impact.
• Act as a Data Science advocate, understanding Socure’s solutions and customer risk challenges.
• Create data stories to show how we reduce identity fraud and improve end-user experience.
• Provide thought leadership and contribute to next-generation risk models and product.
• Develop tools and automated workflows to speed up analysis and ensure reproducibility.
• Collaborate with GTM teams to identify upsell opportunities and product optimization.
• Build ML models when beneficial and compare approaches to production models.
