Job summary

Socure, the leading digital identity verification and fraud prevention company, is seeking a Data Scientist II to advance machine learning features and production‑oriented risk signals across device, network, browser, and behavioral telemetry.

You will work on scoped fraud and identity risk problems, partnering with engineering, product, and risk teams to improve fraud detection and customer outcomes while documenting models and explainability for production use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in data science or related technical role.
• Experience building, evaluating, and improving ML models and pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML features, models, and analytical methods for device, network, and behavioral signals.
• Analyze signal patterns related to fraud and identity risk.
• Design validation analyses including train/test splits and drift assessment.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and risk teams for production rollout.
• Contribute to model documentation, explainability, and dashboards.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts with code reviews and guidance.
