Job summary

Socure is seeking a Data Scientist (DS-II) on the Data Science, Client Analysis team to be based remotely in the USA. You will analyze massive customer data, tell compelling data stories, and collaborate with the go-to-market team to drive revenue by demonstrating value of Socure’s products in pre- and post-sales cycles.

You will build ML models, create automated workflows, and translate complex algorithms into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders, while championing rigorous analytics

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, or analytics engineering.
• Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised ML methods.
• Proficiency in Python with large datasets.
• Experience querying relational databases with SQL.
• Cloud tools knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP/Databricks).
• Ability to storytelling with data through dashboards and presentations.
• Ability to explain complex ML algorithms to non-technical audiences.
• Thrives in a remote startup environment with clear goals.
• Identity verification and fraud prevention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze massive customer data sets to derive actionable insights and explain model performance.
• Act as Data Science advocate to educate and influence from a scientific perspective.
• Create data stories to show how we reduce identity fraud and improve user experiences.
• Provide thought leadership and shape next-gen models and product.
• Develop tools and automated workflows to speed, accuracy, and reproducibility of analyses.
• Collaborate with GTM teams to identify upsell opportunities and product optimization.
• Build ML models when exploring alternatives to production models.
