Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join our Data Protection team. You will implement and maintain data protection infrastructure, work with DLP/DSPM tools, and support security posture.

The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, and cloud platforms, plus scripting in PowerShell or Python. You will collaborate with senior engineers to improve policies and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Strong scripting in PowerShell or Python.
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83 cyber security framework, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, and ITIL 3.
• Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infra across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of DLP/DSPM solutions in cloud and on-prem.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies and detection tuning.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts to deploy and maintain data protection software.
