Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team in the United States. You will implement, maintain, and operate data protection infrastructure and DSPM/DLP solutions across on-prem and cloud environments, collaborating with senior engineers on complex projects.

Responsibilities include deploying DLP and DSPM components, tuning policies, incident response, and developing robust engineering guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience with at least two cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years of experience (Information Security/IT)
• Master's degree in related field
• Advanced cloud certifications (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• HIPAA/NIST/ISO/security frameworks awareness

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms
• Deploy and configure DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-prem and cloud
• Configure and maintain data protection policies and tuning parameters
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Assist with testing, implementation, and documentation of projects
• Develop scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment efficiency
• Stay current with data protection technologies and compliance requirements
