Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. You will implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure, working across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments, and contributing to policies, testing, and automation.

The role requires strong experience with DLP/DSPM tools, programming/scripting skills, and a solid understanding of security frameworks. Collaboration with senior engineers and ongoing learning are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization's data protection infrastructure across various platforms and vendors, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of data protection solutions, in on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across relevant platforms, including sensitive information types and detection parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to improve efficiency.
• Assist with testing, implementation, and documentation in projects.
• Stay current with relevant data protection technologies and compliance requirements.
