Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement, maintain, and support data protection infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on DLP/DSPM, policy management, and incident response, with opportunities to develop automation using PowerShell and Python.

The candidate will collaborate with senior engineers, stay current with HITRUST/NIST/GDPR-aligned controls, and contribute to architecture and governance of data protection programs.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on-premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, sensitive information types, detection parameters, and exception lists
• Troubleshoot and resolve data protection incidents with root cause analysis
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in project meetings
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance
• Collaborate to expand knowledge of data protection technologies
• Stay current with data protection technologies, best practices, and compliance requirements
• Other duties as assigned
