Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Data Product Owner who will bridge underwriting with data warehouse and reporting teams. You’ll translate business needs into concrete data requirements and oversee delivery across multiple verticals, depending on size and scope.

The role emphasizes collaboration with underwriting leadership, backlog management, and ensuring data outputs align with business intent, with remote work across specified time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Analytics, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or product ownership.
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements for data warehouse, BI, or reporting teams.
• Familiarity with insurance industry concepts and underwriting preferred.
• Experience in an agile environment using boards or ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with underwriting teams to understand business objectives, reporting priorities, and evolving data needs.
• Capture and document business requirements in clear language for data/engineering teams.
• Partner with data warehouse and reporting teams to scope, prioritize, and establish work.
• Translate business constraints and intent between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Manage backlog items and participate in agile ceremonies and delivery cadence.
• Validate delivered reporting and data outputs against original business intent and drive adoption.
