Lyric is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build the data foundation for its healthcare decision intelligence platform. You will design and deliver production pipelines, implement the canonical data model, and ensure data quality and observability across a multi-tenant environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong Snowflake experience, including streams and tasks, warehouse sizing and performance tuning, SQL optimization, and RBAC/chastering (micro-partitions).
• Production experience with dbt and Airflow, including how to structure models and DAGs.
• Strong programming expertise in Python and deep SQL proficiency.
• Solid data modeling skills for shared vs consumer-specific schemas.
• Experience building testing and data quality validation into pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Implement the canonical data model in production and contribute to architectural direction.
• Build automated validation and data quality checks into pipelines at defined stages.
• Instrument pipelines for observability: freshness, lineage, and alerting.
• Enable self-service access for consuming teams with governed outputs.
• Collaborate with invoicing, analytics, and reporting teams to translate requirements into data.
• Migrate and consolidate workloads onto the unified framework without disrupting consumers.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident reviews to improve fixes.
• Maintain high engineering standards: version control, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical level of the team.
